I was given the opportunity to test the Summer Soiree Dress Pattern by Lil Luxe Collections. This is Jessica’s debut pattern and it’s just beautiful.
One of my favourite features is the gorgeous deep v at the back, it looks so sweet and slips straight over, so you don’t need buttons or zippers (yay!).
I was hoarding this gorgeous fabric, which happens to be called Soiree and I new it would be perfectly sweet on Ruby.
But when you have 2 girls, you can’t just make one dress.
So I made another for Piper and tried to make them a little bit different.
The pattern has beautiful panel detailing, and I’m a sucker for seersucker so I thought I’d highlight the panels with the stripes.
To celebrate it’s release Jessica is offering a 20% discount til June 2nd. You can find the pattern on etsy. Just use the code “DebutDress” for your discount.
the details… fabric (Spotlight), hair accessories (this little light of mine),
Some more pattern testing, but this time it’s something for me. The womens Alder Skirt by imagine gnats. There is also a girls version that I can’t wait to make for my girls.
Given that we are heading into winter, I decide to make this skirt with a heavy weight fabric, and team it up with some tights.
I found this olive green denim at the op shop and knew it would be perfect.
I much prefer to be on the other side of the camera, but have to thank hubby for letting me boss him around. Now I just have to make something for him 😉
Thanks to Rachael for allowing me to test this pattern. This pattern covers a large range of sizes and I found it easy to follow. The skirt came together quickly and easily and I love the top-stitching detail.
